A day to root down and let your natural radiance emerge. Morning Hatha yoga, a seasonal organic lunch, unhurried time in the grounds, afternoon restorative yoga, guided meditation and Yoga Nidra at one of the most beautiful estates in Norfolk.

One Day Yoga Retreat. Morning Hatha yoga and pranayama, a shared organic lunch, free time in the walled gardens and on the river, then afternoon restorative yoga, guided meditation and Yoga Nidra before a closing circle.

West Lexham Estate sits in ancient woodland and walled gardens near King's Lynn, and the place itself does much of the work. You arrive to tea or coffee in the warm Orangery, take a breath, and begin a day that has been built around rest rather than achievement.

The morning yoga session is a spacious and grounding Hatha practice supported by breath awareness and pranayama. Through mindful movement, steady holds and conscious breathing, we cultivate stability, strength and presence while creating space for energy to flow more freely.

After a delicious seasonal plant-based lunch enjoyed slowly in beautiful surroundings, wander through the walled gardens or ancient woodland, swim in the pool, paddle-board on the river, rest in a hammock, journal, read or enjoy the peace of the estate. The afternoon practice is gentler and more restorative: nurturing movement, supported poses and practices that leave you feeling refreshed, balanced and quietly uplifted. A long guided meditation and Yoga Nidra follow before the closing circle.

Numbers are small, limited to twenty participants. Many people arrive alone and most leave having made at least one genuine new connection. The retreat is designed to send you home measurably calmer, and a little more radiant, than you arrived.

The day

    Arrival

    Arrive at West Lexham Estate and settle in with tea or coffee in a warm Orangery. Take a moment to slow down, arrive fully, and leave the demands of everyday life behind.

  2. 9:30am

    Opening Circle and Inspiration for the Day

    A gentle gathering to arrive together as a group, settle into the space, and set intentions for the day. A few thoughts and reflections to inspire our practice throughout the day.

  3. 10:30am

    Morning Hatha Yoga and Pranayama

    A spacious and grounding Hatha Yoga practice supported by breath awareness and pranayama. Through mindful movement, steady holds and conscious breathing, we cultivate stability, strength and presence while creating space for energy to flow more freely.

  4. 12:30pm

    Lunch

    A delicious seasonal plant based lunch prepared from local ingredients, enjoyed slowly in beautiful surroundings. Plenty of time to relax, connect with others or simply savour a quiet moment with a cup of tea.

  5. 1:30pm

    Time to Rest, Explore and Restore

    The afternoon begins with space to simply be. Wander through the walled gardens or ancient woodland, swim in the pool, paddle-board on the river, rest in a hammock, journal, read or enjoy the peace of the estate.

  6. 3:00pm

    Afternoon Yoga for Ease and Radiance

    A gentler and more restorative practice designed to release tension and invite a deeper sense of openness and wellbeing. Expect nurturing movement, supported poses and practices that leave you feeling refreshed, balanced and quietly uplifted.

  7. 4:30pm

    Guided Meditation and Yoga Nidra

    A deeply nourishing guided meditation followed by Yoga Nidra, the yoga of conscious rest. As body and mind soften, we create space to reconnect with our inner stillness, clarity and natural radiance.

  8. 5:00pm

    Closing Circle

    A final gathering to reflect on the day and carry its benefits forward. Leave feeling grounded, restored and connected to the steady light within yourself.
